I've been trying to replace the Trigger Bar Plunger and spring on a 1918 Erfurt. I've been trying to punch the pin out of the trigger bar but to no avail, what am I doing wrong?

I have had to take a VERY small mill bit and mill them out, of course replace the pin afterward.....hope this helps
