I really liked the e-books...but I stopped buying them.........when ever you change computers or up-grade the hard drive the access codes no longer work.

Not many of us keep a computer over 5 or 6 years. I've communicated with Mr. Henrotin about this issue, but his response was basically too bad.

All of his Luger books are very good if you only need the material a short time.

Supplemental passwords my be obtained by registered users for $4.00.

You must understand that the initial price cannot include passwords for the user's life in all the PC he will purchase.

Beyond this, those ebooks are fully printable. So you can keep a paper version for ever.

It is the eternal problem about the balance between the consumers and rights owners interests.

It is why those ebooks are offered at a very affordable price (to say the least) if compare to their content.

Dear Sir
Thank you for your response, I will send you a PM
to get the Supplemental passwords.

I understand the need for owners rights, but one must also understand that once I buy a hard copy book, it doesn't disappear because I move it to a different book shelf.

Actually, ebooks cannot really be compared to printed books. It is a totally new approach that requires new habits.

Do you have animated sequences in a printed books ? Are your printed books updated from time to time with new data or corrected if something written was later found to be error? Can you easily find all the pages where is located a single word in your written book? etc ...

When reading and purchasing ebooks today, you are pioneer of a "new world" that is growning up.

Well.... people playing old guns seldomly being good on new technologies. I got the same problem. Nowadays, PC becomes cheaper each year, and quality also goes down each year. This machine does not last long at all, and ebooks die with the machine.

New technology means that creator should find a way to resolve customer's hassle.

At this point I recall that supplemental password may be purchased for $4.00.

Suppose you change your PC each 2 or 3 years, you can compute the cost per year.

Now compare the price of a current paper book on the same topic (luger pistol for instance).

$45.00 vs $7.95

The difference allows you to get supplemental passwords for about 9 X 2 (3) = 18 or 27 years.

It is just a matter of stepping into a new way of thinking.

We pay now for a lot of immaterial goods each year (anti-virus for instance).

A new way of life.

I must say that Gerard was very prompt and after getting my supplemental passwords. I once again enjoy the books that so long ago wouldn't work anymore.
