After browsing this forum for a while and doing a much research as a first time buyer can do, I finally took the plunge and bought my first luger. It's a 1937 with all matching serial numbers, even the grips. The Magazine is the only thing that doesn't match. I am basically wondering if you guys could tell me if I got a decent price on it based on the pictures I'm posting, I don't really care if I over paid because I had a really hard time even finding one at under $1000. I wanted to stay under 1000 because I wanted a shooter to start my collection with. I bought it at Sheels here in Reno, NV. so I know I might have spent a little too much, but the gun aprazer in store seemed to not know anything about the gun. (He thought that since there was no swastika stamped on it, it must be a knockoff, but it has 3 little weimar eagles on it) Also, the mag has a wood base, and I'm wondering if that is worth storing and buying a cheepo for shooting so I don't risk breaking it.
Thanks guys! |
