Default 12 Major Variations of Military Mausers

To go along with the 6 G-Date variations, the picture shows all 12 of the Military Lugers made by Mauser. The 1937(1) is rust blued, while the 1937 (2) is the hot dipped blue variation. Enjoy

Hi Guys, thanks for your kind words. It took a few years to get all 12 in 95+ percent original condition.

Eric, The total number of variations, including the sub-variations and not counting the "odd ball" variations are as follows:

K-Date 4
G-Date 6
1936 2
1937 4
1938 2
1939 S/42 1
1939 42 4
1940 1
41 42 2
41 byf 3
42 byf 2

Total 31

In addition, the "odd ball" variations are that I have identified are:

K-Date combinations of Set Back Front Sight and Mauser Hump Frames
Late G-Date with Full Radius Barrel Band
1936, Large S in S/42 with Sharp Radius in Barrel Band
1936, Large S in S/42 with Full Radius in Barrel Band
41 byf, Without Bore Guage Barrel Marking

Now there are probably a few more that i haven't identified, but I'll keep looking. And enjoying every minute ofthe search!!

Excellent display and presentation of your Mauser Military Variations.

By counting the sear safety police, Navy, right receiver acceptance stamp, walnut or bakelite grip, variations for each date/code Luger the number of variations is higher, see thread below:

Mauser military code variations http://luger.gunboards.com/showthrea...ser+Variations

Note: a few acceptance stamp variations combined with police or Navy variations results in some double counting.
