Sending Registered Mail Overseas
Just mailed a registered letter to Germany. Registration plus postage was $8.05, and it was not a heavy letter. Anyone bidding on auction items from overseas that require cash by RL, make note of additional cost. I "won"? a Luger mag for $39, plus $10 for shipping, plus $8 for mailing payment; total cost $57!

Re: Sending Registered Mail Overseas
Still cheaper than Western Union. I was unfortunate enough to buy something from Hungary. Over there anything that looks like a check is stolen by the postal workers. A $35 item ended up costing over $50 by the time I was done. There is another way to do it though. Just send it in a stiff airmail letter insured for the ammount of cash inside. If it gets lost you get your money back.
