Thought the membership might be interested. I met with a collector today who had a 1902 DWM Cartridge Counter model Luger. There were only 50 of these guns made for trails by the US Government. This weapon was about 98% blue and about the same in straw. Excellent grips and boar.
It was a pleasure to examine such a rare and $$$ Luger, as it was the first time I have ever seen this model, except in books. |

$17,000 is fair but pricey. Simpson has one as well as Ralph Shattuck. I believe Ralph wanted $25,000 for his, but it came out of Mel Torme's collection. I would have liked to have met Mr. Torme!

Lonnie & Tim
The owner of this 1902 model cartridge counter told me he wanted $30,000.00 for this Luger. It was in 98%+, with excellent boar & grips. It had the correct mag for this gun. This kind of Luger is well beyond my ability to purchase, but it was nice to actually see one. I checked my reference books and it is real. |
