Default Can any of you P38 fans tell me anything about this gun?

I don't have this in hand yet, paid $391 off gunbroker for it so for a shooter I should be good but what can be determined by these images. I just hope it isn't a russian capture and rebuild.

Greetings and welcome to the Luger Forum. Your pistol was manufactured by Spreewerk near Berlin in approximately June 1944.

It's difficult to tell about your question regarding Rusian Capture without more detailed pictures.

WARNING: From the looks of the rear sight, the top cover has been IMPROPERLY assembled. DO NOT SHOOT IT UNTIL YOU GET THIS PROBLEM RESOLVED!!!!

Good Luck
