Default Luger Dry fire

I just picked up my 1st Luger...a 1918 Erfurt.
I have been checking it out and cleaning it up, but could not get it to dry fire.

Is there a way or is this just the way they are made?

I want to check it out good before I go to a range and was just curious on that.

Appreciate any input

Mike
