Default WaA63 stamped mag tube

I had this posted in "accessories" but thought this may be a better place for it. Sorry for the duplicate listing!

Picked up a P.08 magazine at a local gun show today. Nickel crimped metal tube with a nice wood bottom 3263 "e" or "l" suffix hard to tell but I'm leaning "e"

The thing I'm confused about is that the tube is marked twice with a WaA63.

Is that correct? The wood base looks original to the mag

Bob, I don't like it. The mag is an early wood base with a nickle tube...No WaA should be on it or was on it when made. Since the WaA is an acceptance mark it would be applied soon after or even during manufacture.
This mag was accepted for service in WW1 and the WaA came long after. I have never seen one not that that means anything but I think it defaces an otherwise correct mag.
Besides which the WaA is accompanied by the number of the inspector. This has no number....
This is either an attempt at enhancing the value or fantasy.

Thanks Jerry,

I purchased it with some other WWII mags and was aware that it didn't make since. There is a distinct number "63" after the WaA. And the wear matches the rest of the finish.

I'll try to get a better picture and post it.

Looks to me like someone was practicing with their brand-new stemple. Something else to be keeping an eye out for.
