Hello all, New to this forum.
I recently acquired a beautiful DWM 1918 P08 in VG condition. 75% finish remaining, no rust. All matching except for the toggle lock lever, that operates when the mag is empty. Is that a numbered part? Beautiful bore and I paid $800 for it. ![]() I'm thrilled with it. It came with repro stocks I'm sure, as they look really good for the age of the pistol, with all peaks sharp. Also I've noticed that standard stocks do not have a border around the edge, but have the checkering all the way to the pistol. Most importantly, my Luger came with a very old magazine with a white/ ivory plastic base. It appears to have been blued at one time, but is now a brown patina color on the metal. Follower is steel. ![]() ![]() The base has only one rivet and seems to move under spring pressure from the mainspring. Any info on this type of mag? Any value to it. I have replaced it with a CTD repro wood bottomed magazine and it looks great, and works great, but I know it is not original. Anyway thanks in advance for any info. |
