This is a S&W Centennial "pre mdl 40" serial No. 147 made in 1952. Engraving on blued guns doesn't show up as well as it does on nickel plated guns, so I "helped" it some. I used a Bonanza Silver Enlay Kit from Brownells, and filled in the engraving with silver inlay. They also have a Gold Inlay Kit.
