Fine tuning sight tool
I know there are tools for fine tuning the rear sight on a 1917 artillery. My question is what do you use if you do not have one of these tools?

Make one by grinding/filing a screwdriver.

DH, I have one like shown above, available at $100 postpaid. One note of caution: the pins in these tools are a bit fragile and can break, if your fine tune screw is "out of round" or rusted in. I find for the "heavy" jobs, I use my ground down screw driver. TH

As Lugerdoc has pointed out, these tools are easy to break, especially if the adjustment screw is rusted in place or out of round.
I have had excellent luck by first soaking the screws with Gunk brand "Liquid Wrench - Super Penetrant" in order to free them up for easier movement. Mauser720 - Ron
