Marc, welcome to the forum.

Several factors;

It depends on what country and/or state you live in (you have no location listed).

Realize that this is the luger forum, that it isn't lugar.

Folks call these "black widows", which is an american term and not a true variation.

How much is he asking for it?

Ed

Default Ooops sorry....

I am in Florida, USA. I thought it was a Black Widow, as opposed to Widow Maker, but that is what the seller referred to it as.

He wants something in the neighborhood of $1500 Edward, but I think that is high even though it appears complete and is matching and is in relatively good condition.

thanks in advance for your help.

If the hoster, tool, and magazines are correct (matching--except magazines since very few do match but are correct time frame), you have a "rig" which is selling at about twice what the seller wants. The pistol looks great. I would buy it fast.

I believe that this is a reasonable price for the pistol, magazines, and holster. The value will never go down. The gun does not look like it has been refinished, so it IS in collectible condition.

Go for it Marc. These days $1500 is a pretty decent buy for a gun in what appears to be excellent condition, plus it has the magazines and holster. The photos aren't all that great, but the markings are sharp, the finish has the right texture and color. I do not think it is a reblue and the remaining original finish is quite good. W. David isn't far off the mark at twice the asking price.

Marc,
dont know what part of Florida your in, but $1,500 is a good buy.

If its close by, I'll be happy to look at the gun and tell you what I think and if the grips are real and not post WWII.

The grips alone are worth in the neighborhood of $300... BUY IT!

Looks okay, not clear enough to give much feedback

but does not appear to be cut down, are the belt loops in place on the rear?
