Default 1940 Mauser [Luger] Nickel Plate

I've acquired a Mauser [1940] P. 08 as part of a friends estate. Marked 1940 with matching serial no's including the magazine which is also nickel finish. Grips are walnut with engraved Mauser emblem made of nickel embedded into the left hand grip. Finish would be perfect except for some pitting rear of the "bump" behind the toggel.

Any thoughts on this piece? I've looked thru 100's of photo's and cannot find a pic of a similar Luger. If interested, I'll submit pics.

Thanx in advance........................

we would love to see pictures. Welcome to the forum.

There were no factory / military nickled lugers.
