Default Sig P225/P6 Opinions

There seems to be a new crop of Sig P225/P6 police turn-ins on the market asking seemingly very reasonable prices. I have bravely withstood the onsalught of $250 Walther P1s, but this is a new threat to my spare change. Anyone have an opinion of these?

Get them while you can. I got one last year at a higher price and was happy. They are nice solid guns, a tad top heavy compared to the Glocks and Tupperware but well worth the money.

I agree, fun and accurate gun to shoot.
Feels robust, but low magazine capacity though.

It's funny you should mention this, because I may issue this pistol to my wife if it works out well. I suspect that the 9mm plus the smaller handgrip may make it an ideal "girl gun".

But this raises another question: I have heard that the DA trigger pull on these things is substantial. Anyone know how to reduce it? Properly?

there is a difference in trigger pulls between the P225 and the P6.the P6 were issue police guns and I think thats why the heavy trigger on them.
my P 225 trigger is pretty nice even in da and SA is crisp.the price on the P6 pistol right now is a real bargin.

Just an update: I got two P6 pistols from AIM. Both were exactly as advertised: light holster wear only. Plus they came with swell Han Solo style swivel holsters, which appear to be designed to hold onto the pistol no matter what. The DA trigger pull seems fine, about what I would expect from a DA revolver.
