Perhaps someone here might know. I have had for over 30 years a pair of well made, look factory, Browning Hi-Power grips, but what throws me is the wide and somewhat less then perfect checkering....any guess as what type of Hi-Power the grips were made for ? thanks and happy new year

Howard, how about a photo of the grips (inside and out)? it might be a stronger clue to their origin than your description.
