Default Suffix Questions on byf42

Hello everyone, I am looking at a possible byf42 black widow and I am pretty sure it is not a fake. I have matched the grips with original pictures that I have seen posted on here but I had a question about the suffix under the serial number on the underside of the frame. It appears to be a crsive "i" or an "l" not really sure...My question is, what suffix is this and also is it accurate to the series of luger?

Thanks,
Hunter Davis

Hunter. an i or l is ok for a byf 42. Would need pictures to tell. The term black widow does not set well with many collectors. It is an American sales pitch term. What you are looking at is a byf42 with black grips. Bill
