Default Can someone identify my magazine?

It is marked with a 122 near the bottom and two Waffenamts, one located near the top, the other near the bottom which are both 37 under the turkey. There is no serial number on the base.

katch, there are two possibilities. Either it's an Armorers Special, used as a replacement magazine, or someone filed off the pistol serial number on the magazine bottom. These 122 magazines were issued with most of the 1940 and early 1941 Lugers.

The 122 code on your Schmeisser design PO8 mag, was the code for the Haenel factory before it changed to FXO in early 1941. E/37 was the number assisted to the WaA inspector assigned to Haenel to accept product for the military. TH

Thank you. Since it changed to FXO in '41, would this be correct for a 1938 model (thats what it's in)?

Katch, To the best of my knowledge, the military didn't start using these 122 code mags until late 1939. A 1938 PO8 should have a folded blued tube with a numbered and proofed (same as on pistol) aluminum bottom. TH
