You know we talk all the time about the fantastic magazine bottoms that GT is producing and the work that Hugh is doing on Grips. BUT..........I was looking at some of the grips that Hugh has recheckered the sides and edges of new reproduction grips and I am absolutely amazed, you can't tell where the original checkering stops and where Hugh's begins. It is a perfect match! He has quite a magic touch with the checkering tool. HOW DOES HE DO THAT? Ted

Ted, obviously a rhetorical question. It is amazing all the talent and skill and knowledge here in this forum, though.

Hey Ted,
A professional never reveals his secrets. Let's just leave it at that. He did a first rate job on mine! I'm even sending my originals to him, at YOUR suggestion, to re-do. Thanks for the tip. Milt |

Hugh,
It is ALWAYS easier to imitate than to originate! I suppose that I could do a great job at painting the "Mona Lisa", but it just "aint" the same. I will just say again that you are a craftsman, and that's that, end of story! Milt |
