Default Reproductions...

As I am assembling a rig for my Christmas present (1917 Artillery) a thought has occured to me. No, seriously. It could happen...

This (alleged) thought goes something like this. Given the fragile nature of the leather on numerically rare Artillery holsters (and the like) at what point will we become collectors of reproductions?

Since Artys were only made for a few years there are very few of them and even fewer accessories. Many people simply accept that the real rig is either out of their pocket books of just don't come up for sale very often. At some point all of the real rigs will settle in the hands of collectors or deteriorate. So, at what point will we simply become collectors of reproductions? Stocks, holsters, mag pouches, cleaning rods, etc...

When I can get my hands on a reproduction snail drum I'll have my reproduction rig complete... (That sounds so stupid)...
