You have probably noticed that the seller is from Mexico City. It looks like fine quality old Mexican leatherwork that you used to get in the 50's and 60's before the tourist trade promoted split-leather junk. You can still get well made leather goods across the border but you have to look a little harder for it. No doubt this holster rode on the hip of a moderately wealthy Mexican rancher. My first Luger carbine was liberated from a Mexican bandito by a Texas ranger back in the 20's. I bought it from his son during a dry year when he needed the money for cattle feed.

The seller of this holster has some fine antique militaria, US and Mexican, but it ain't cheap.

I noticed he even has a Dutch east-indies medal for sale.

It's an Atjeh 1873-1874 medal, given to those who served during the first and second Atjeh war.
