Default Stoegers still available?

Relatively new here. It seems the matching-numbered 1938 S/42 that my dad "liberated" from the Black Forest and handed down to me is too valuable to shoot.

OK -- before you ask -- yes, I'll post some digital photos soon.

Somewhere in the last few days on this forum I read that Stoeger still sells new Lugers, but a search of their website only shows shotguns. The Shooters Bible shows nothing.

Are new Stoeger Lugers actually still available?

Stainless Steel Lugers are still available in limited quantities by a company named Orimar in Houston Texas... that is the company that was the actual manufacturer for all Stainless Steel Lugers that were sold under other names like Mitchell and Stoeger and AIMCO... Do a search of all forums for the name Romo... the guy who owns that company.

I just picked up this .22 Stoeger Luger. I've wanted one for a few months now and this one became available at a reasonable (yeah, right) price. I just had to have it...

If you are looking for an extra mag, I saw one on ebay the other day.

I have a PDF version of the owner's manual for the .22 Stoeger Luger. Found it on the web sometime back and don't have the link anymore. I could email it, but it is about 3.5MB if your email can handle it. Send a PM.

I'd love to get my hands on the cretan who stole my .22 from my office desk about 10 years ago. They got the Luger and a .22 derringer.

Thanks, John.

I ran the search, and got tons of postings regarding the "new" company.
I'll have to line up a local FFL and give Mr. R a call.

What's the serial number? The one I got is 33388. Easy to remember...
