Help! 8MM Nambu Loading data

I Just picked up dies, brass and bullets and want to load some of these Japanese 8MM Nambu rounds. Amazingly I went thru 15 different loading manuals and none had any loading data for this cartridge.

I believe the bullet weight is 108 gr. I would prefer to load with Red Dot shotgun powder but am desperate! I will use some other if necessary. I use Red Dot for almost all of my pistol rounds.

If anyone knows of a site to download I would appreciate that as well! Thanks! Jerry Burney

Ed, Many thanks, She has a very nice site and I have gotten some preliminary loading data which should suit my purposes.

Hopefully we can shoot your Pistol a little more this Summer! I have been looking for these componants for some time and lucked into them today.

Ed, I did ask you! That was last Summer and so far the set you have has not arrived! I found a three die set, RCBS, today at a local gun shop, 150 bullets and 50 shell casings...20 bucks. Couldn't pass it up.
I just wish I had a type 14 here to test a few rounds. I hate to load a box without at least a test fireing. Jerry Burney

sorry, I would only have "loaned" them to Jerry... You see them on e-bay every now and then. There is also a guy selling reloaded ammo on gunbroker. I figure I should keep them, as I have had a Nambu for nigh on 20 years.

RK, If you want to borrow the set I have for a few months let me know I will send them to you. I won't be back in Colorado for some time and that's where I will be able to load and test these. I have a type 14 there. The 8MM Japanese dies are surprisingly expensive....Let me know. Jerry Burney

Jack, I guess so! Bring your Artillery next time you come to Yuma, I have the part for it and we need to install it. Do you have any factory loads or should I roll some up? You need to learn how, why don't you come down and I will show you...You can reload some 8MM and shoot them in your pistol!

RK, OK...I reloaded a couple of rounds with the data I found. Maybe will test them in Jack's Papa Nambu if he brings it.

Your welcome to borrow them if and when you like. I just need to find a load that works and load a hundred rounds for the heck of it.
Ed Tinker gave me a link to a gal in Canada that has some good inhfo on where to get brass and bullets. If I have it I will post it for you.

You do know that my PaPa was the same pistol that Hirohito used to commit suicide; was passed down in the family, and only was offered to me because I took in the Hirohito's family cat; pampering him back to health after no Tender Vittles were to be found in Mainland Japan at the war's end. My ex-wife who at the time was Miss Yokohama and Miss Panasonic introduced me into the royal family and this is the gun you wish to TEST your reloading prowess? I certainly was totally unaware of this side of the history of my PaPa. I do, however, take exception to your "interpretation" of the Emperor's "dialect." It appears to be of Eastern Irish Japanese, and maybe, quite possibly a rebuild of a fake tale from "The Keeper of the Cat."

Tac, Are you an example of the rare thin skinned Englishman? I thought the breed was hardier than that. I guess the wet has something to do with softening of the skin.
I am not in the habit of putting people into boxes even if you did come out of one. It's not my place.
