Default Luger Mags

Does anyone know who made the Luger Mags with black plastic bottoms having concentric rings on the sides similer to the Navy wood bottom type? I purchased several years ago from the Collectors Armory that were in a batch that came in with the Lugers imported from Norway. The mag bodies are blued and appear well made. However no proofs or manufactuers marks were on them to determine who, when or where made.

Tracy, I have 4 or 5 of these mags also. They are good ones aren't they? I thought they were Meg-Gar, but I may be mistaken.

Hakan, Your mag shown on ebay is the one Tracy asked about and was made by Mec-Gar in Italy. These were available here in the states thru various distributors, until a few months ago. I understand from one of my suppliers that these have been discontinued. Interarms did supply some of these marked "Interarms" on the spine, with their Mauser Parabellums, when they could no longer get the original Dutch made "Mauser" banner marked mags from Mauser. Hugh. This is the same type that I have. Like I said no markings on it supposely came in with the Lugers and magazines from Norway. Collectors Armory was selling a bunch of the Norwiegian modified WWII (GI Belt Hanger) Luger, and P38 Holsters as well as mags. Don't know if they slipped something in but they are well constructed Mags.

Thanks for Picture.

Hakan, To my knowledge Mec-Gar did not make any plastic bottom mags for Mauser, Although I think that they did make the Mauser Banner marked wood bottom mags with a low polish blued tube. If your tube has the high polish and a concentric circle (Mec-Gar) black plastic bottom, chances are that the bottom is a replacement.
