I bought these off of e-bay, they are left and down and then right and down, from magazines he cut them from;

116 or 200 shots per minute????? I don't believe I could make the 4 or 6 mag changes in a minute needed for that rate of fire, much less take the time to aim and fire. Bob Benson

For what you would have to spend for a brand new carbine manufactured today, you could easily have an original Luger modified and refinished for just a bit more
... but don't forget the $200 NFA tax for making a short barreled rifle if the barrel is less than 16"

Ed,
Wonderful find. I really like the old ads, makes the period come alive again. I'm curently in the process of getting my hands on a couple of brochures from Manufacture Francaise D'armes et Cycles from St. Etienne. Sadly no Luger stuff in them, but should prove to be interesting anyway. |

Gerben, I saw them on e-bay and figured they would look nice matted and framed! Look good downstairs. I have one more I didn't scan in, from the early 60's, it is about 4x10 inches, will arrange most of these around it
![]() Hey, if you come across Simson literature, keep me in mind, looking for books, etc., I can get parts translated via Glen if I pay him in Alabama dollars ![]() Ed

Ed,
Good idea. I've framed a reproduction Weimar/Imperial instruction card. For the cars (I play around with old benzes), I selected a couple of technical drawings from an old press kit, made a good quality copy on colored paper for some more contrast and had these professionally framed as well. Works quite well. The last framed addition was a bit of a combination between both hobbies, a period (1930s) Mercedes-Benz poster which shows a dynamic overview of the military products they were involved with. |
