Wow it's been awhile, lots of new names, Big Norm and others, glad to see that Kyrie still chimes in with his wisdom. But where the heck is Ted, changed his name again, or just on vacation?
I have been playing around with .45's. Bought a well worn Argentine Ballester-Molina, and a pristine Sistema. I reblued and regripped the B-M and it is perhaps the most reliable and powerful handgun in my inventory. The Sistema is a like-new rearsenallized Argentine cloned M1911-A1. Anyway a couple of months ago, after a particularly dismal day at the range with my S-42 Luger suffering jam after jam, I said enough is enough and put it away. Last week I got it out and replaced the main spring in probably a quarter of the time it took me to do my 1921 DWM's. Took it to the range with my "new" Sistema, and it shot beautifully, accurate and reliable, while the Sistema suffered a jam or two. So here I am back in Lugerland and enjoying it. Best to all - Bob |

we missed you!! Glad to see again. Ted (now known as Thor) is taking a short hiatus, but will be returning shortly. We have a bunch of new faces in the Rogues Gallery, and lots of new profiles.
Good to have you back. Dok |

Hi Bob!
Welcome back from the Dark Side. Those .45's can be down right seductive. While this is off-topic (and pure heresy for the Colt folks) I like the Ballerina Molester better than I do the 1911A1, and think it's a better design. But then neither close to the mechanical perfection of the Parabellum Very best, Kyrie |

Now I know Kyrie knows how to spell "Ballester" I thought while reading your post, then had a good laugh when I got to "Molester". I would agree, as I find the "Molester" a more refined weapon. It is slightly larger and heavier than the 1911-A1, and outshot the Sistema in a Shotgun News comparison. Fun to shoot quotient is quite high also, however it lacks the allure and mystique of the Luger.
