Default Pair of Colt SAA

Any one on the forum interested in Colt SAA?
I have acquired a pair that are NIB, factory lettered as made on order of legendary pistolero and Border Patrol Chief, Bill Jordan.

I would love to have one, or both. But unfortunately my banker says I can't afford it!

Am out of town so won't be able to send pix until Saturday.

Basically, the guns are Colt 125 Anniversary models, consecutively numbered pair, Gold plated grip straps with US Border Patrol engraved on grip and Bill Jordan engraved on butt. Colt factory letter attests to all of this, says they were ordered by and shipped to Jordan at his home in Texas in 1963. Colt letter says the pair are unusual, aside from Jordan association by virtue of consecutive serials, factory engraving and that most guns of this series were purchased by Colt employees. Guns have not had cylinders turned. Comes cased in wooden case along with a lewtter from Jordan explaining the guns as a gift to a Texas physician in return for the physican's gift to him of a Churchill shotgun.

Additional material on Jordan accompanies the set. They are a truly impressive set with 7.5" barrels and in cal 45LC.

Tom,

I'd love to see the pictures BUT:

. I shoot all my guns, even SAA commeratives

. I guess these guns will be high priced (really high priced)

I probably won't want to pay for them as shooters.

Al,

After you own them, you can shoot them. You can use them as bookends or even as hammers....but you gots to own them first.

The price is not that out of line with what SAAs go far with no provenance.
