Newbie with little knowledge, but lots of pics...

Hi folks.

My cousin wants to part with his 1910 P08 (possibly adding it to my collection of decidedly more modern firearms

), and I wanted to find out a fair price for it. He's out-of-state, but zapped me these pics the other day.

Could anybody please provide any historical background on this piece and an approximate value? On the latter, if there is anyone in the Midwest that would be a good appraisal resource, I'd appreciate it.
