Is a WWII German G43 rifle considered a curio & relic?
Can anyone tell me if the G43 rifle WWII 8mm is legally considered a curio and relic? Is it considered an assault weapon?

well, its over 50 years, so the answer should be yes. It is not listed individually on the ATF listing for C&R, but the G43 is semi-auto right?
In-country it would be C&R, "assault weapons" depends on where you live... Ed |

As Ed said yes to C&R. But I do not think it would fall under the classification of an assault rifle. According to the old ban you had to have a detachable mag, plus a flash hider and bayonet lug. Now it does not have a flash hider and I don't think there is a lug. Basically it would be rated the same as a Mini 14.

AND...it doesn't have the pistol grip. Should be safe on the assault weapon classification.
