Default Help with S/42 1936 value

I have an 1936 S/42 with straw and all matching numbers and was wondering the value as we just built new house and might need to sell it.
It was brought back from WW II by my wifes uncle.
It is in excellent cond.
Any help as to what the value and where the best place to sell would be a great help.

Norse, can you provide lots of pictures, any serial number on it, proof markings on the right? And yes, my signature line sounds familar, as I answered on Jan's forum,

Norse,

I am not very knowledgable about Mauser lugers but a few things in your photos jumped out at me: In the general photo you posted the magazine appears to have a wooden base: I don't think that is correct for your gun (not a major concern as magazines rarely match anyway). Also, the wear on the grips is significant and does not seem to match the lack of wear on the gun in general (the missing chip behind the safety is fairly common). In particular, I would expect to see some wear on the high points of the side plate and other edges. Consider the possibility that the gun may have been "touched up" with cold blue at some point. Nonetheless, it appears to be in very nice condition.

My general impression is that the gun is not especially valuable in monetery terms but it is a special family hierloom that you should treasure and pass on to future generations. I hope that your financial situation allows you to keep this memento of family history. KFS

Thanks for the comments.
The Luger has been in my safe since 1999, I haven't touched it and I'm sure the wifes uncle hadn't either.

It does not look to be reblued in my opinion and I have seen many reblued guns.
You might be right about the mag but the wear on the grips as seen in person is not bad at all.
