Red face Sons of Guns

I just discovered the TV show Sons of Guns on the Discovery Channel. Recorded about a dozen back issues and have been watching them, very interesting show if you like guns. The new season starts in a couple of weeks.

Hugh, There was a writeup on them in the new Rifleman magazine. I don't own a TV so I will miss the shows...

You sound like my grandpa, never owned a TV and didn't observe DST (daylight savings time), he listened to baseball games on the radio, and this was in the 80's. He died of boredom......

It could have been a good show, but ended up being a big joke. Here's another discussion about it:

I haven't had TV here for over 10 yrs (DO have a video collection of nearly 500 classics and 5.1 surround sound however). My GF recently stated she would pay for the Dish so she could watch her "Cop Shows", so... . I really like ALL the different music channels available (no commercials), especially "8 Track", "Rock Classics" and sometimes "Honky Tonk Tavern", they all sound great on my Surround system. The "Military Channel" is cool, but TOO repitious. The Gang and Prison shows are interesting. TOO MANY commercials !! Back in "the day" cable never had commercials, WTF. "Sons Of Guns" is better than "American Idol" or ......, but similar as far as Mission Statement is defined for the mentality targeted. YMMV Joe

Joe, get yourself a DVR, (Digital Video Recorder). It let's you record anything at anytime very simply. Your cable company probably has these available for anyhere from $7-$10 more a month on your bill. This way you capture your favorite shows and watch them when you want. The best part is fast-forwarding through all the commertials!

Lying in a hospital bed besides physical therapy is my life. The History channel is my fondest which includes the 'luger' episides on 'Tales Of A Gun'', which featured Ralph in his gun room!
