It is Jan Still's book, it covers the Weimar period. There was the Imperial period, then after WW1 a gov't or two, and the Weimar Republic was formed until the nazi's took over in 1934.

Imperial period ** prior to end of WW1 (1919)

Weimar Period ** 1919 - 1934

Nazi period ** 1934 - 1945

How can you tell it has been re-barrelled?

It wasn't rebarreled. It was made new in 1924 as a commerical in 7.65mm. The numbers match the serial number and the barrel correct? (pictures are too fuzzy to really tell).

I would like to see clear photos on the left, but appears to be a Crown N, a commerical marking.

I might be interested in the aluminum base mags......if nobody has spoken for them and if the owner wants to sell. I'd need pics though and all that good stuff...
