Default German Sauerkraut-OT

With St Patricks day just over, my wife wonders why I like

Cabbage. I tell here I am part Irish (my grandfather Green from Cork Ireland) and half German (my grandmother)

so if it is not Corned Beef and Cabbage it is SauerKraut, go figure! Ted

Ted,

The Bratwurst and beer sound good, BUT, you must have grits and fried fat back to make the Sauerkraut really taste good!

P.S.- You know they call grits, "Georgia Ice Cream"

Hey Marvin, do you live in Georgia? So do I. Maybe we can host the next GATHERING and serve up some grits and fried catfish along with the Reisling and the cheese. I wonder what cheese grits would be like made with German cheese.

always fine to behold even if only for an instant!

Milt,

Thanks for the recipe. I will try this this weekend with Bratwurst sausages, and like Ted, German potato salad, and dark German bread. By the way, a Warsteiner Beir will also go good with this.

Marvin
