Hi Chris,

Congratulations on your "haul"!!!

Even grips that are badly chipped and worn can sometimes be brought back to life with enough skill and labor. I have repaired and re-checkered breakage around the grip safety area. There are others on this board that offer grip restoration services. The right walnut scrap stock and something like "Gorilla Glue" got things started for me.

Sorting through all your grips to find matches will help - and assigning stock numbers to sales lots will make the organization easier to present for sale.

One thing to try for imaging your grips is to use a flatbed scanner. They do a reasonable job with relatively flat objects, and can record a great deal of detail easily.

I know that this board requires "For Sale" postings to include prices. The administrators will probably chime in to let you know if they prefer individual listing posts, or aggregate postings.

You've got enough worn original grips with damage to make me wonder if the estate owner was in the business of "improving" a good number of Lugers. Did you see if replacement grips were on the other Lugers being sold?

Best wishes with all the "goodies" you acquired!!! I hope that many members can be helped through your efforts.

Marc
