Pete, I don't know why this belt is with this holster...The belt buckle is an Army. If it were Navy it would not be grey but have a gold wash color.
I guess it's a marketing technique, put a belt with it. Jerry Burney

Tom, While this may be true, the Navy buckle is distinguished by the gold wash. Any green painted buckle standing on it's own is an Army since it cannot be determined to be Navy. Jerry Burney

The gold wash buckles were sailors who were assigned to vessels and for parade; the green were navy coastal arty. Army buckles were field gray or unpainted IIRC.

Here's what the back side of the '39 K/M Luger Holster should look like. Makes you wonder why the dealer is not showing a picture of the proof if he's advertising it as a Navy holster. |
