It means it was weapon #1008 of the Sächsische Landessicherheits-Polizei, the Saxon State Security Police (equivalent of the Prussian Sicherheitspolizei) that was founded in 1919 and merged into the Sächsische Polizei (equivalent of the Prussian Schutzpolizei) in 1921-22 (HWIS pp. 211-12). May I know what this mark is on with a description of the item?
