The even black finish looks suspicious, but the white threads are hard to believe.
Most of the holsters are covered with maker marks, codes, and other markings. Many holsters were made by at least 100 different companies and some in Poland by slave labor. The designs and appearance vary a great deal, but this one doesn't look right to. The missing ordinance codes make it suspicious to me, but certainly not worth more than $50. And, it's not a good place to keep your luger, either. |

The dark one looks much like a repro. Is that correct? Nice one from Jerry. Bill

It is original as far as I can tell. Jerry just replaced the strap on it so I’m sure he could chime it?
Only thing suspect about it to me is how nice it is, but the Luger that came with it looks pretty nice too. |

Not sure what the “Birthmark” means. Both have the “BAXI” stamped inside but I’m not sure if that is a maker or arsenal mark. Could someone educate me on this?

Hi Miles,
Congratulations, you have two nice Imperial holsters. BAXI stands for Bekleidungs-Abteilung number 11, the clothing depot serving the 11th Army Corps, headquartered in Coblenz. Regards, Norm |

Bill, I am reminded of the two very nice holsters I got from you over the past year. Love 'em.
