New FrankenLuger for Eugen
Well, I finally got me a complete Luger shooter. Thank you, Mr. Tinker for selling it to me. It is a Mauser frame with a DWM upper and an 8” Bohler Stahl barrel. Numbered parts no matchy. Heinz 57 heritage comes to mind.
It looks pretty good, if I don’t say so myself. I just received it this week, and got it stripped, cleaned and lubed. As a relatively new Luger aficionado, half the fun is tearing them down and reassembling them. Plus I indulged in the mandatory playing with it and finger printing every part for a few hours to get familiar with it. Now I am ready for the range. Yippee! I can’t wait to shoot it like I hate it. I also included pics of my super cool, hand carved and painted, wooden Frankenstein just to compliment the FrankenLuger theme. The carver was pretty talented.
