New FrankenLuger for Eugen
5 Attachment(s)
Well, I finally got me a complete Luger shooter. Thank you, Mr. Tinker for selling it to me. It is a Mauser frame with a DWM upper and an 8” Bohler Stahl barrel. Numbered parts no matchy. Heinz 57 heritage comes to mind.
It looks pretty good, if I don’t say so myself. I just received it this week, and got it stripped, cleaned and lubed. As a relatively new Luger aficionado, half the fun is tearing them down and reassembling them. Plus I indulged in the mandatory playing with it and finger printing every part for a few hours to get familiar with it. Now I am ready for the range. Yippee! I can’t wait to shoot it like I hate it. :jumper: I also included pics of my super cool, hand carved and painted, wooden Frankenstein just to compliment the FrankenLuger theme. The carver was pretty talented. |
You are going to be the envy of the folks at the range...that is a pretty piece. I like the Jay Leno jaw on Frankie :)

Nice shooter; I can't believe Ed let it go.

I like it too. Besides it should be very accurate with all that distance between the front and rear sights. Actually, you have absolutely no excuses for ever missing...

Looks like a fun and accurate piece.....I like it. I would have been tempted myself, but you had already spoken for it. Enjoy, and give us a report.

Don,
Nice shooter. Be sure to give us a detailed range report. Rick |
You're going to draw all the attention from those plastic guns shooters!
Show'em how it should be! |
Thanks, folks, for all the positive comments. Given my work schedule I probably won't be able to get to the range for over a week to shoot that puppy. My darn day job keeps interfering with my hobby. LOL
I'll report back with my experience. I can't wait! |
I was looking at buying that before I got my fugly project P08
Love the barrel on that one, nice to see it found a good home |
