thanks George

question for everyone....my serial # is supposed to be 5043q

i dont see the q on the gun? am i missing its location?
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/724882727

having a gun from 37 and a holster from 40....i read the holster should be the same year or +- 1 year...so mine is 3 years...does this do anything to its value as a set?

im spending time today on this website going through the new owner section...learning what i bought in greater detail

Hi Dave,
The full serial number with suffix (below the number) is on the front of the frame, it's clearly visible in at least one of the photos.

Default 1937 Holster

I have a very nice 1937 - R.Ehrhardt - Poessneck - D/E139 - Brown Holster that would match your Luger. Also have the correct extra mag D/E#6144. Both for $425.00 shipped. The holster is in VG+ condition with no rips or tears and all of the stitching is intact. The magazine is in excellent condition.
If you need pictures send your e-mail address.

Got my Luger today.....beautiful.....did a bit of Q-tip detailing as the corners were grungy...noticed some brownish-maybe rust in the corners around the grip...this came out nicely....and under what i think is a lanyard? at the back it was all rusty...i spent a bunch of time here and cleared most of it out..still some in the corners...any recommendation on what to do about this?..on some guns i use steel wool and oil for minor surface rust.....i know this is a unique bluing on this gun and maybe there is a special way to tweak this rust out of here

i couldnt get it to focus in good....see if you can see it in the corners or else ill take another pic
