Definitely not Nazi grips, most likely a post-war addition by a GI.
So are the grips that are numbered to the gun with or without embellishment? If the numbered grips are not mod'ed and in good shape I'd guess around $1600-$1800. dju |

Your decision, but $2200 seems too high to me.
To me it's just a Plain Jane with a matching mag. dju |

yes i did...i had bid $2200 originally and upped it to $2317 at the last bit....i did not want to lose this gun....i think i got a good deal at this price...im very green when it comes to lugers, but all the research i was able to do quickly showed me this was a $2,800 gun....but once again---i have not even read a book, just looking at previous auctions and what i could find on line...no deep knowledge here...

In my opinion, it's easily a $3000 Luger.

in 27 years of shooting ive only broken 1 gun ever...and i shoot 2x a month....it was recently- my grandfathers Remington a5 1949...i inherited it and dry fired it...the trigger spring broke...$10 part
im going to hope for the best....and i will feel bad for history if it does break more than the $$ loss...i dont collect guns as art.....i collect them as functional art.... to each their own and i do respect your opinion on the matter......to some lugers is a religion....i get it |

You don't need a take down tool with a Luger. There are a few YouTube videos about it, but it is extremely simple, especially considering it was invented over 100 years ago! Not quite as quick as a Glock takedown, but almost! Have fun - I was just out shooting my Simson earlier this week...

If you meant, what is the correct magazine loading tool then a DE/63 would be good.
