Dave,
The Ideal stock rig was patented in 1904 by one Ross M.G. Phillips, and asigned to the Ideal Holster Co. The patent drawings illustrate a revolver. The manual for the stock is illustrated with a revolver version on the cover, and inside shows versions for the Luger and long-slide Colt automatic. See Bender, Luger Holsters & Accessories of the 20th Century, pp.581-596. --Dwight |
