I've seen asking prices from $5000-6500. Buying yourself a present?

Peter,
If you get another chance to look at this gun, could you please note for my database: Proof marks? Swiss cross on barrel? grip safety narrow or wide? thumb safety type? Where the takedown lever is numbered? GERMANY marked? Thanks much for the help. --Dwight |

Will this excellent example be for sale, Peter, or will it go into your collection?

Peter,
Excellent. The burning question is, where is the takedown lever numbered? --Dwight |

Peter,
A really lovely gun, the kind that gets my attention. Interesting mark in the front frame well. I haven't seen one like that before.

Hi Ron,neither have I......also,the machining in the "well"in the back is unlike later Lugers......This gun, along with some other interesting items, had been in the same collection owned by the sellers Great Grandfather(a US citizen)since 1920....which helps explain the guns great condition
