The base is a wood colored plastic composite. It is not interchangeable with original magazines and will only fit the Stoeger and perhaps some of the Mitchell or Orimar stainless Lugers. Unfortunately it is useless with your Erfurt. Sorry. __________________ If it's made after 1918...it's a reproduction
