I have a 1937 S/42 which was saved from Russian clutches, had it's reblue job removed, a faithfull late 1937 salt dip blue, new walnut grips and fresh springs placed and the 'gesichert' marking correctly filled again. I'd call it a restoration.
![]() Moreover, the work produced by experts like our own Thor are restorations in every respect. It's kinda like comparing a new paint job to a body-off restoration in the car business. |
