tac, your economic status has left me distraught in the extreme. I just can't imagine your having to consult a Rolex to determine how long you've been famished! When one is in misery he only wants to know approximately how long it's lasted, not precisely.

Smash the watch immediately. I know it could be traded intact for food, but you probably would have trouble severing your ties to it. If you break it, you could still part it out and possibly realize some moldy bread or not quite spoilt cheese.
