OK, guys. RTV was the original nomenclature used to describe what is today known as silicone rubber. Not sure, but I think that either GE or Dow Corning first used this description. Also not sure what RTV actually stood for; probably some chemical shortcut name.
Some of us old-timers still remember the original tag. Luke
