Ron, It dosen't look all that case hardned. If it is it's pretty slight, looks more like in the white to my tired holster repair eyes...Anyway, why would it need case hardening? It would experience no great shock or excessive wear. Isn't case hardening rare among German gun parts? Jerry Burney
