Default Was It???

I noticed it was a DMW headstamp on the brass. They showed the Luger pretty good, but not good enough to identify it. I wonder how the CSI guy figured World War II and not World War I after just hearing DMW was on the headstamp???

Logic, a WWI vet would be more than about 80 years old.
