I could add some names, but I'll just say that all who served loyally have my heartfelt gratitude.

My sincere thanks.

Col Robert B Anderson; 1911 - 1972

Phillipine Islands 1939-1941
Panama 1941-1942
New Guinea
Philipine Islands, Leyte

Dad was a tech sergeant in 1939 and retired as a Colonel in 1958. He never finished high school but put me and my brother through college.

Apparently the book, "Beach Red" includes a gruesom tale of Jap atrocities that was taken from my Dad's own notes or report on his actions after the landings on Leyte. He died at the age of sixty two of a heart attack while I was in the Army overseas. God, I miss him so.
